After graduating from Van Nuys High School, Robert attended the University of Redlands where he attained a Bachelor of Science in Business. It was while attending the University of Redlands that Robert started his first business, Stonehenge Art Products. Since starting Stonehenge Art Products, Robert has gone on to start a number of other successful businesses including Malibu Mountain Gallery. Robert's entrepreneurial spirit and love for art are what powers his vision for what has been created as Malibu Mountain Gallery. He leads the family business as President as well as being in charge of acquisitions and research.

Michelle L. Humphreys

Michelle was born in Phoenix, Arizona, one of 4 children. She grew up in Southern California, living next door to her grandmother, who was responsible for her first interest in collecting dolls. Her collection of dolls today numbers more than 750.

Michelle is married to Robert Humphreys. They have 4 children. Michelle's early career was as a legal secretary and office manager. Later she enjoyed being a homemaker and hostess of many parties in their home.

As her love of art and antiques grew, so did her collection. Robert cautioned that she better think about selling some of her collections if she wished to keep purchasing. In 1998, Bob, Michelle and her brother, Rio, founded Malibu Mountain Gallery and joined the eBay craze. They have had fun collecting and selling ever since.

As other family members have shown an interest in the world of art and collecting, we have decided to build Malibu Mountain Gallery as a family business to be enjoyed and cherished for generations to come.

Rio was born in Arizona and enjoyed spending time on his grandparents' ranch learning about farming and care of livestock.  As a young child his artistic abilities surfaced.  He began with drawing and calligraphy.  Later his talents included music, he played the String bass and tuba.  He participated in Honor Orchestra and Bands.

As a teenager, he served as an apprentice in a cultured marble shop, creating many unique designs, including furniture and jewelry.  Eventually he became a licensed general contractor and owned his own shop.  Rio has a daughter, Alexandria, a high school student.

His artistic talents today are expressed in the form of sculpture.  He works in many mediums, including wood, stone and metal.  The wood sculptures he creates with a chainsaw.  He divides his time between managing the family roadside gallery in Malibu and tending to the other family business, Malibu Mountain Apiaries, as a beekeeper, getting back to his roots in farming.
